On The Bob Rivers Show – 7/17 – Roger Fisher Talks Moonfest 2013

Rock and Roll hall of Famer Roger Fisher is one of many great musicians scheduled to participate in Moonfest 2013, a three day music festival taking place on the Olympic Peninsula’s “Lake Leland” August 23rd through 25th.

In addition to Roger and his band, you will hear music from Michael Shrieve, LeRoy Bell, Blake Noble, Lefthand Smoke, The Dusty 45’s and many other great acts, and this year Moonfest organizers have chosen World Vision as the charity to benefit.

News Update from Fisher ~ Children Workshops

On Tuesday, July 16, I’ll be doing two children’s workshops, one at 2 PM at the Rock It Music Academy Summer Camp in Bellevue, and the other at Ted Brown Music – Live It Outloud – at 6 PM in Tacoma.

Both events are designed to encourage kids roughly 12-18 to immerse themselves in music – learning, composing, rehearsing as a group, and finally performing live.

I’m thrilled that I have viable knowledge and experience to pass on. Looking forward to these great events!

Roger Fisher’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Acceptance Speech

Roger Fisher’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Acceptance Speech:

I’m so happy for all of the Heart Fans that are here tonight. Sincere and genuine love for these people [points to original members of Heart]. We were in the trenches together… we fought and we won! I’ve a world of respect for these musicians.

Heart was born in Canada!

Thank God for music! And thank God for the relationship between musicians and our audience!
