The Pray For Love Concert was one of the most enjoyable things I've ever done! To be a part of a bunch of guys working their butts off and combining intelligence and talents to create something that is given away for free was very fulfilling!

In three weeks time we:
  1. Built the stage with madrona railing
  2. Cleared an acre of small trees and brush and disposed of the debris
  3. Built two fire pits
  4. Built benches to seat about 200 people
  5. Moved and dressed 100 yards of sand and gravel
  6. Ran 300 feet of power
  7. Built 5 fine, rustic log-hewn picnic tables
  8. Terraced and tiered a hillside
  9. Created parking areas

Picture this: you're sitting on a half-log bench on natural amphitheatre hillside looking at a stage with three alder trees protruding from it. Directly behind the stage is a beautiful, pristine lake that sits at the base of a forested bowl that is lined at the top by sheer rock ridges.

Scattered everywhere around you are beautiful fresh flowers. They line the stage, they're floating on the lake, they line the road at the entrance to Twin Falls Estates (the 400-acre estate where the event occurred), and they are in the hands of many of the more than 300 people in attendance.

There is the feel of expectance in the air, as if something very noteworthy is about to happen...no, actually it IS happening all around...everyone seems very happy, full of love and good intentions toward each other. Everyone is supporting something, even though nobody seems to know quite what it is.

This feels like MAGIC!!

Each artist produces his/her particular kind of music very skillfully and effortlessly. The sound reverberates off the surrounding trees and rocky slopes, creating a mountainous, slow-motion echo that transports you to another dimension.

Everybody is giving with no thought of getting something for it. This is beauty!
